Last of the year
Well, I guess it's official. Christmas is over. The last present has been unwrapped and the turkey is resting in turkey pot pies in the freezer (just whose idea was it to get such a large bird this year?). The whole leftover quota has finally been dealt with. New Year's Eve tomorrow, and I will likely just go to bed early. As a general rule, I've found that when I get up the next day New Year has arrived whether I was up at midnight or not, so my presence doesn't seem necessary.
I hope Santa brought you all you desired, as I know he was certainly good to me. Even if the lottery tickets in my sock were not winners the whole Christmas was. And the girls were happy with their gifts and even DH admitted to a good day.
May you have a Happy 2007 and peace and happiness to all!

Happy and Healthy New Year, Dear Sez!
I went to a gift exchange party. Someone received $10 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets. She ended up winning $52!!

Happy New Year, Sez! (We really did open our last presents today. Well, Tom & Max did. They were too fatigued last weekend to open everything. I had no such problem :)
Happy New Year!
Your pot pies sound so yummy. And yes I think the New Year will come also if I am snoring away as well!

Growing up, my grandparents always cooked two small turkeys instead of one so more people could enjoy different parts of the birds. For the longest time, I thought a turkey had four legs.
I thought you would like that story.
Happy New Year my sweet Sez!

I too was asleep before midnight. My Dbf wasn't happy, but it just another day. I had a great New Year's day, no hangover - just peaceful.
All my wishes for a Happy '07, my wonderful SS.

Happy New Year Sez!
I've got two huge turkeys in my freezer again - both were given to us through work. With just two of us it requires a special occasion to cook them. Those pot pies sound really good though.

Happy New Year to you!
We actually had turkey on New Year's Eve, and so I just put the last of the broth to use yesterday.

I wish we had turkey leftovers. We only got enough to take home from SIL's to make 2 measly grilled turkey sammiches. Food of the gods, that.
