Long Weekend on the Horizon
Tomorrow morning we pick up the kids report cards for the year. From 8 to 11 am they are ready and then it is officially the end of the school year. I love the summertime. And with being home this year, I can pack up on a whim and head out for a day trip to where ever seems like a good idea. I foresee a lot of mini trips to see things in the area that I have heard about, but have never taken the time to look into. It will all start with Canada Day celebrations.
Ah Canada Day – the summer start off. I have a new outdoor umbrella in white with red maple leafs on it, Canada flag napkins and cutest of all, a flap lapel pin with flashing coloured lights. I know – sad and dorkey, isn’t it – but it was only a buck and it was so cute and bright – something special for those of us easily distracted by shiny things. Over the weekend we will spend at least one day at the lake with our company, eat too much (I have the thick rib steaks and lean burger on hand already and lots of snackage – garlic sausage, cheese, chips, dip, pickles, veggies) and stay up late playing Euchre. The weather is supposed to be fantastic – bring on the weekend.

Sounds like a great weekend is planned. Yeah, the lapel pin is dorky but I'd have probably bought one also.
This year, our company has decided to give us a 4 day weekend WOOHOO!
My plans? Yeah, they are pretty exciting so don't get too gellus.
Sat. Spend day at home watching carpet people repair various areas in the house (from where the friggen cats tore apart).
Sun. Clean house.
Mon. Clean house. Possibly go view houses for sale.
Tues. Clean house. Possibly go view houses for sale.
Oh yeah, I will probably be doing some office work at home also.
The reason for all the house cleaning is because we will have a real estate caravan coming to view our house the following week so this is my chance to get the house spotless.
Yeah, envy me. *sigh*
