Not So Burning Issues
Telemarketers – Once upon a time when they called they were on the line ready to try to sell you something. Now the phone rings and when you pick it up, you are on hold until the salesperson comes on line. It’s bad enough when you call somewhere and have to wait on hold, but when did it become acceptable to phone you just to put you on hold?
Telephone Carriers – Why, when you finally find a better long distance carrier and switch over, does your original carrier then call and tell you about a new plan that will match the one you just switched to? Don’t they realize I would not have switched, had they matched the other plan in the beginning? Do they really think, after paying them more all along, that I am inclined to switch back just because they lost a lot of folks to a better offer and decided to match it?
Congrats to DD!
Telemarketers infuriate me. I refuse to answer my home phone these days because of them. And I'm even on the DNC list.
Also, Taylor? He looks like a muppet with a weird twitch when he sings.
And if we have ride on mowers why are there no ride on vacuums? Hmmm? Why?
I hate the auto-telemarketers. If you're going to try to get my money, then use a real person dammit.
LMAO at the ride-on vacuum.
If I pick up the phone and get dead air, I hang up right away. Then I check the caller ID and jot down the number. I never answer that number again. I am on the DNC list too - but there are many loopholes to the list and telemarketers are increasingly finding them.
I always call my current company first, and only switch if they won't match the offer. Often, they do.
I don't have any issues yet, but the day is still young.
But now I'm mad at my new stove - why is 350 degrees fine, but at 400 the oven is too hot? I knew my old stove well, but this one is taking a while to break in.
