The deed is done

On Wednesday this past week, the feeding tube was installed. So no more fighting to choke liquids down. Just push them in with a huge syringe. Easy peasy. Four times a day. They even feel I might just gain a little weight back, which would be nice.

Otherwise, things haven't changed much for me, and my days continue to pass. How's it for you?

  1. Good for getting those fluids down! Hydration & nutrition are wonderful things.

{Hugs} and smooches Sez and reminds her that every time she rubs my name on her bloggie blankie I am thinking of her!

Maybe the extra weight will give you more strength as well.

I'm glad you updated. *smooches to you*

  4. I know Sez rubs your name, Swami, but MY name is in a better position on the blankie and she rubs MY name more often. *grin*

Sez, I know it must be difficult to finally have the tube feeding. Eating is such a social function; so many events are centered around food.

But, you know that I've worked with people who have feeding tubes. One woman who I know, had a feeding tube and still was a working nurse every day!

I'm glad that it's easier for you. It won't take so much effort to keep yourself nourished.

    Thanks for letting us know.

  5. *hugs* I think this a good step, even though I'm sure it's hard to see any good come of this.

  32. Hello all, not sure how often, if ever this gets checked any more but this is Youngest DD.
A wonderful friend of Oldest DD had Wandering Through My Mind made into a small book and I guess a passion for reading (and more importantly RE-reading) runs through me.
Thank you for everything you sent & said to my mother. We still have the Texas shaped cookie cutter and Carmen Banana around somewhere... I hope you all are well, I know Sez would agree.
